This is the most important stage of a Magic Straight transformation.
Many people think the flat iron creates straight hair, but the real result is determined during the chemical softening process.
Today’s client is an international student from the United Arab Emirates with waist-length hair and years of accumulated color damage.
This hair contained three completely different conditions on one head.
✔ Healthy regrowth near the roots
✔ Chemically processed mid-lengths
✔ Dry, porous, moisture-depleted ends
Using one formula from roots to ends could leave the roots under-processed while damaging the fragile ends.
For this reason, I divided the hair into multiple zones and adjusted the pH strategy according to the condition of each section.
The chemical work is the foundation.
The flat iron is only a supporting tool.
Because the ends were extremely dry and lacked moisture, I also used a controlled moisture-balancing approach during the pressing stage. A fine mist helps distribute moisture more evenly through the hair and creates a protective buffer between heat and fragile damaged areas.
This transformation required patience, observation, experience, and constant adjustment throughout the service.
Through YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, more international students have been visiting my salon, allowing me to continue learning different hair textures from around the world.
The goal was never to force the hair straight.
The goal was to understand the hair, respect its condition, and create the safest and best possible result.
