The chest and ribs are an area usually sadly missing from 'full' body massages. I have always felt that the side of the body, at the ribs and the upper chest needed attention in order to complete the 'whole' feeling but also to clear tension and toxins from the vital organs contained within.
The upper chest, collar bone, ribs and muscles house the beautiful lungs and heart. Too many of us breathe with shallow rhythms without thought to how the lungs need to be 'exercised' just like our muscles. Without massaging and filling our lungs properly our capacity to breathe fully will contract and wither. Then I show you the lower ribs and solar plexus in order to share the techniques to clear blockage, facilitate cell renewal and most importantly, hold our selves in our hearts with self compassion and focus at our solar plexus.
