Welcome to the clinic! 🩺 I am very pleased to see you today for a thorough but gentle hearing test. If you've been experiencing a little bit of trouble hearing recently, please know there is absolutely no need to be nervous; I will take very, very good care of you today. Just drop your shoulders and relax.
Today, we will go over a simple medical history before moving on to a gentle visual inspection of your ears. We are even lucky enough to have my sweet resident clinic cat, Tibs, sitting in with us to help soothe your nerves (you might even hear her taking a little nap!). I'll take a closer look inside your ears using an otoscope and a special ear camera. Finally, we'll test your hearing using a tuning fork, a pure tone headphone test, and a whispered distraction test to figure out exactly what is going on. Sit back, get comfortable, and let's get your hearing sorted. ✨
