💈 Haircut & Ear Hair Singeing With The Brazilian Barber of Seville | La Navaja Barbershop
In 2021, we made it back to Spain to do some filming! 🇪🇸
We had the pleasure of meeting and filming a haircut with Jardel da Silva who opened La Navaja Barbershop in the bohemian arts district of Seville in 2016. Jardel first learned from his barber father as a teenager in Brazil. At the time, he was determined not to follow in his father’s footsteps as a barber since he wanted to pursue his own path.
However, years later after having spent time living and working as a chef in the UK and Spain, Jardel ultimately decided to pick up the scissors professionally.
The interior of La Navaja Barbershop has an eclectic display of collectibles acquired while shopping locally at vintage and antique markets. You’ll also find customized prints of classic art with their own twist 👩🏻🎨 Jardel says, “Every week or every month I try to put something new out on display.”
Jardel says a haircut may take 25-40 minutes for a customer, but for him it is the best time as he meets so many people who he now considers great friends💈❤️
