相撲 sumou = sumo
初場所 hatsubasho = first basho (tournament) of the year
mawashi = loin cloth/belt sumo wrestlers wear
土俵 dohyou = the ring
torinaoshi = a do-over
行司 gyouji = referee
gunbai = wrestling umpire's fan
gunbai dori = agree with the judge
kachikoshi = more wins than loss
負け越しmakekoshi = more losses than wins
kadoban = in danger of demotion
yaocho = throwing a match
heya = sumo stable or “team”
yokozuna = top level of sumo
ozeki = second highest level of sumo
sekiwake = third highest rank in the upper division
komusubi = last/fourth highest rank in the upper division
rikishi = wrestler
sekitori = paid wrestler
