Unbathed Rain J-Lesson Notes. (I got no water!)

Last night's flood screwed up the water in my building! I have no water!!! I can't take a bath! ARGH!

rain=ame=あめ=雨
雨が降る。
Ame ga furu.
It rains.

雨が降っている。
Ame ga futteiru.
It is raining.

lightning=inazuma=いなずま=稲妻

Example:
I saw lightning strike.
稲妻が走るのを見た
inazuma ga hashiru no wo
mita.

see/look=miru＝みる=見る

Lightning struck a tree directly.
雷が木を直撃しました。
kaminari ga ki wo choggekishimashita.

direct hit=chokugeki=ちょくげき=直撃

thunder=kaminari=かみなり=雷
to thunder=kaminari ga naru=かみなり　がなる=雷が鳴る

hard rain=doshaburi=どしゃぶり=土砂降り
It's raining, storming, thunder and lightning. This is what it looks like.

to bark=hoeru=ほえる=吠える
dog=inu=いぬ=犬

The dog is barking.
犬が吠えている。
inu ga hoeteiru.

flood=kouzui=こうずい=洪水
or shinsui=しんすい=浸水
