Homemade Yeoptteok Recipe
*I've never tried the actual yeoptteok before*
*This recipe is based on my research and imagination*
*You can still enjoy "yeoptteok" even if you don't have it in your area*
*It's about 2-3 servings*
- Ingredients
Rice cakes 30pieces
sausages as much as you'd like
fish cakes 3 sheets, cut
cabbage, chopped 1 cup
2-3 green onions, cut like rice cakes 1/2 cup
Boiled eggs as many as you want
Shredded mozzarella cheese 1cup
- Sauce
water 3 cups (700g)
red pepper powder (fine) 4 Tbsp
gochujang 2 Tbsp
soy sauce 2 Tbsp
corn syrup 1 Tbsp
sugar 1Tbsp
minced garlic 1/2 Tbsp
Korean beef broth powder(Dashida) 1 Tbsp
salt 1teaspoon
black pepper 1teaspoon
capsaicin powder 1 Tbsp - adjust accordingly or skip if you don't want it too spicy
*If you don't have Dashida, use broth of your choice instead of water*
*Or you can also use any broth paste/flavoring agent like MSG*
- Instruction
1. Add all of the ingredients including the sauce in a pot and boil.
(I find adding fish cakes and green onions later is better since they cook quicker)
*don’t forget the eggs
2.Turn off the heat and top with shredded mozzarella cheese and cover for 3 min
