I set out into the woods of southeastern Pennsylvania to collect a few handfuls of acorns, and as a last minute decision decide to eat 1 raw for the first time in my life. I stated in the video that I would prepare them to be eaten in the future, but after further research that is not going to happen. The process to leach the tannins from them is very time consuming and involves running them through water (cold or boiling) multiple times a day for up to a week or two.
