💈Relax: A Corte Clásico in a Vintage Argentinian Barbershop | La Brocha Barbería
We finally had the chance to visit La Brocha Barbería in Argentina which we’ve been following on social media for years! It is in a town called Rafaela, about five hours outside of Buenos Aires.
Mauro Luciano Donna grew up in Rafaela and worked as a hairdresser for 20 years 💇🏻♂️ A trip to Europe 10 years ago inspired him to become a barber after really getting to know old barbershops.
Established in 2016, La Brocha was born when Mauro decided to carve out his path in this profession. Everything came together with the arrival of a long-awaited antique furniture piece so he felt it was a sign that this was the right moment ✨
A few years ago, the barbershop moved into a bigger space inside a historic building with high ceilings and lots of character.
As an antique lover, Mauro has been collecting for over a decade. He has collected so many cool pieces that you can look at in the shop! One of the rooms preserves the original furnishings from an old barbershop that closed in a nearby town 💈
For Mauro, the best part about barbering is the connection with people. There’s always something to learn or share in those conversations, and that exchange goes both ways.
