Roaming City Streets with Pretty Girls

Every weekend holds opportunity for a mini vacation. It’s especially easy when you live in an area close by to other cool areas.

On this get away, I spent time with my sister in Santa Cruz and my best friend in San Francisco. The best friend and I decided to stay in a hostel for one of the evenings, which made it feel like we were traveling abroad.

We found there wasn’t much to do but roam the city streets. We stopped by every book store and thrift shop we passed. We ate out three meals a day. We walked and we talked. It was colorful and vibrant and all around lovely.

Anya is a best friend from university, and one I love dearly and passionately. She is simple and yet unique, hilarious without meaning to be. Her face reminds me of the moon. I admire her verbally and internally and constantly. She lives hours away from me and it was oh so nice to have some true quality time with her.

Capturing weekends like these reminds me how lucky I am for the people and places in my life. They are for me as much as they are for you.
