Damascus steel was a type of steel used for manufacturing sword blades. You may recognise its distinctive patterns of banding. These blades were reputed to be tough, resistant to shattering, and capable of being honed to a sharp, resilient edge. The original method of producing Damascus steel is unknown. Modern attempts to duplicate the metal have not been completely successful. This is one of those readings that I would love to give you an update on in the future when the science is settled!
Thank you very much for watching and supporting me.
Best regards,
