Last year after arriving in Osaka, Japan with limited cash, I ventured out into the bustling Dotonbori district of Osaka in search of cheap food!
Dotonbori is a popular area for tourists and locals seeking out traditional regional dishes. There are huge signs on the restaurants including gyoza, octopus, and the famous Kani Doraku moving crab 🦀🐙 There’s also the Ferris wheel in front of the Don Quijote store 🎡
After checking out several restaurants I settle into the lively bar 蛸焼依屋文左衛門 to sample a platter of Takoyaki - Osaka’s famous octopus dumplings.
