Box Of Nostalgia ~LOTS of Sounds~ 10 Year ASMR channel Anniversary!
Hello sweeties. Can you believe that I started my channel 10 years ago on this very day!? Back then I was 22 (1 month before my birthday) and after previously discovering that the tingly feeling I experienced my whole life had a name back in 2011, I decided to start giving back to the people that had helped me.
In January 2012 I was brainstorming about a channel name and was inspired to pick TheWaterwhispers because of 4 reasons. I wanted to have the word whispering in my name because when I found the ASMR community it was still mostly called the Whisper community and one of my hobbies was (still is) aquariums. I am also a Pisces and in general I just love water such as the sounds of the ocean, rain, fountains etc..
And that's how my channel name TheWaterwhispers came into existence. It went from a few subscribers and comments to thousands of comments and subscribers, making video every day for the first 3 months, to being on TV, in news papers, radio and magazine interviews. We even organized the very first ASMR meet up in person back in 2013 in the UK with a nice group of ASMRtists and viewers where everyone felt a sense of euphoria for being able to connect with people in real life that experienced the same unknown tingle feeling that no one knew much about.
And now 10 years later, the ASMR community has grown into this huge verily well know phenomena! ASMR and the people watching and making the tingly inducing videos have gained real life friends, relationships, work, comfort, sleep, mental/emotion help, comfort and many more things, me included 😊
Only in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined that all of this could have happened and if someone would have told me 10 years ago that this is what it would be like 10 years later I probably would have told them that they are crazy but here we are! :D
I am forever grateful, happy and excited that I am here with all of you and here is to another 10 years of Old school, Classic ASMR! THANK YOU!
