No Frills ASMR Grandma’s Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients
• 1 cup self-rising flour (see note for homemade version)
• 1 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup milk
• 1/2 stick butter (melted in baking dish)
• 1 pint (or so) of fruit (peaches, blackberries, or slightly cooked apples)
• 1/4 cup sugar for sprinkling on top

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and milk until combined.
3. Melt butter in a rectangular baking dish.
4. Pour flour mixture over melted butter.
5. Add fruit on top. Do not stir.
6. Sprinkle sugar over the fruit.
7. Bake for 30–40 minutes, until cake has risen and top is browned.

Grandma’s Notes
• She sometimes used less butter: 1/2 to 2/3 stick.
• Sometimes reduced flour to about 2/3–3/4 cup.
• To make self-rising flour: Mix 1 cup flour with 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt.
• She often cut down the sugar sprinkled on top to 1/4–1/2 cup.
• Works well with peaches, blackberries, or slightly cooked apples.
