hey everyone!! :)

I'm in Japan now! it's 7:54 as I'm uploading this. I'm just in a hotel and exploring for the first week and a bit with my family, however I'm moving into my apartment tomorrow, honestly there has been a lot going on so it has been really hard to edit. We are going out basically every day and due to the jet lag I absolutely crash when I get back to the hotel, I've never felt like this before but I genuinely cannot keep my eyes open. If you have any tips or anything that can help keep me awake a bit longer I'd appreciate it. I've been having lattes in the evening to try and keep me awake a bit longer but they don't work. ;( I fell asleep editing this video multiple times and I woke up a few hours later super uncomfy lol.

ANYWAYYY first impressions of Tokyo? The food is AMAZING! the street lights and signs are really beautiful, I love the social etiquette, and the self ordering in places, it feels a bit British in a way, it feels weirdly more homely than I expected it to. The fashion, omg, PERFECTION! It took me about a day to get comfortable speaking japanese, I was SO nervous. Now I can order and everything in japanese :) I even went somewhere where I ended up having a full conversation with the staff in japanese and they asked me about language school, England, if my japanese was self study. Felt on top of the world afterwards. There is some foreigner fatigue I can feel, on the first few days I was walking on eggshells trying to make sure I understood and followed all the rules. I was on a bus towards the skytree, and the bus was full, I was close to the doors but I was making myself very small, and the bus was about to stop, I was preparing to get off to let others off, and an old lady said something to me in a kinda rude tone, she then said "wakannai" and kind of huffed, and then as I was stepping off she barged past me with her bag!!! It honestly just felt like she was just waiting to tell me off? anyway. Also had a really rude waiter in Shibuya, in a yakitori restaurant, he didn't say one word the entire time, no smiles, just acted like we were unwelcome, despite me speaking Japanese as well. My family are not loud people, idk the vibes were SO bad in there. I was really stressed out about being perfect, and then I got groped on Shibuya crossing (it was unbelievably crowded). Everyone was taking baby steps to get across through the people, and then I feel a hand like quickly grope my butt and flick my underwear, I shouted "what the F*** was that" and as soon as I look over my left shoulder there's a dude sprinting and barging past people. I can't explain it but it felt like he was a professional at it. Honestly after that my mood shifted about trying to be so perfect. I'm just taking it slow.

I'm hoping I have some time to night to record a video, I got some new mimikaki sticks for ear cleaning :D I wonder if the sound is different.
I've been taking lots of pictures with my camera. Maybe I'll stick them on the community tab :)
