Real ASMR Mic Test and review: DJI Wireless Mic, Rode HS2, Samsung S23 Ultra | Whisper, Soft Spoken & Tactile Sounds

In this video, I’m doing a real-world ASMR recording test with three different microphones. This isn’t just a tech demo — I’m actually recording whispering, soft spoken talking, hand rubbing, and clothing sounds the way I would for a proper ASMR video.

Throughout the video, I also share my personal experience using each mic — how convenient they are to set up and use, how they feel while recording, and how well they capture subtle ASMR triggers.

DJI Wireless Mic (with internal recording)

Rode HS2 headset microphone

Samsung S23 Ultra built-in mic

📸 Camera used: Panasonic S5 II X

Let me know which mic you think sounds the best — and if you have a favorite for ASMR work!

I think I have to make new video where I'll compare Rode HS2 to DJI Mic when Rode is connected to other DJI transmitter, so its more comparable..

New video every FRIDAY! Magazine reading every other Friday, every other Friday something else!

----------
An autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson. ASMR is a subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.

The term ASMR can also refer to media (usually audiovisual) meant to evoke this phenomenon, with the sensation itself being informally referred to as "tingles".
