💈Wet Shave By 2nd Generation Barber In Old School 1920s Spanish Barbershop | Barcelona
Wet shave by a 2nd generation barber at a classic old school barbershop established in 1925 in Barcelona.
Jaume Palos, the barber and owner, told us his father took over the shop from the original owner around 1965. When Jaume was very young, his family moved into the adjoining home behind the shop.
Jaume grew up around the barbershop and began learning to cut hair from a young age. Everything he knows he learned from his father.
We spoke with one of his long time customers at the shop, and he said you don’t find these shops around anymore. Sadly, Jaume said the future is uncertain for the shop. He feels when he retires the shop will be lost. His son has no interest in becoming a barber, and the shop lease is non-transferable.
