Meet Rebel, our 35 yo African Grey. He loves the color Blue š, Cashews,
Boxes to get under and use for a clubhouse, being read to, Zombie movies/shows (and he can mimic them perfectly), taking showers, and trying to bite me sometimes š¤Ŗ
He has been in our family since he was a baby.. and always living up to his name lol (your reminder to be mindful when naming your babies) my dad should have been lol.
I wanted to be in the video with Rebel, but I'm not his favorite.. ha.. Once my son gets him out he is usually ok with me.. but that varies.. ha.. and he is not a fan of me having painted nails, or wearing certain clothes or makeup.. lol.
He is a very controlling man. ha š also, he gets camera shy, so as awesome, beautiful and interesting as he is.. he makes it very hard to show the world. He is tooo smart. but he is getting more comfortable š I should have been doing it more to get him used to it.
couple facts:
š©¶ 35 years ago when my dad got him, they said these birds lived up to 100! now it is said average 60-80.. and even more recent... some vets are saying it is really about 40 ish captive... (which Really makes me sad and anxious) .....
š©¶ they have the intelligence of a toddler.. many drs saying up to a 5 or 6 yo.. they can count, add, speak lots, answer appropriately, laugh and make jokes
š©¶ they don't just talk in Parrot voice.. he can mimic someones voice perfectly!!! you will think you are talking to them!!! it has happened! lol
