The chocolate donuts are actually cake-based, made with cake mix and oven baked. I have yet to try a proper donut recipe with homemade dough and deep frying. One day, one day!
CHOCOLATE DONUTS
For the base, I used a box of vanilla cake mix from Aldi which I veganized with egg replacer (Orgran brand), vegan butter (Nuttelex) and soy milk (Aldi). Baked for around half the time recommended on the box (since donuts are smaller than a whole cake) - just keep an eye on it.

DONUT COOKIES

To get the donut shape, I cut the dough with the rim of a cup and the lid of a sauce bottle, lol.
The vegan sprinkles used for both recipes are from an online store called Fancy Sprinkles.
