History is written by those who survived to tell it.

And spiritual history — what humanity has been taught to believe about God, salvation, betrayal, and love — is no different. What we inherited was not the whole story. It was the version the most powerful institutions decided we should have. Carefully curated. Strategically preserved. And in some cases deliberately incomplete. 🕯️

In the 1970s Egyptian farmers discovered an ancient codex buried in a limestone cave near Al Minya. What they found passed through black market dealers, deteriorated in a safety deposit box on Long Island for sixteen years, and was finally translated in 2006 in a way that shook the entire world of biblical scholarship.

The Gospel of Judas.

Condemned as heresy in the second century by the early church father Irenaeus. Buried in the Egyptian desert for seventeen hundred years. And it came back anyway. 🌀

What it reveals about Jesus, about Judas, about the crucifixion itself, does not simply offer a different perspective on a familiar story. It offers an entirely different cosmology. One in which the greatest act of love in human history has been called the greatest betrayal for over two thousand years. And the one person who truly understood what Jesus came to do has been condemned by everyone who claims to follow him ever since. ✨

In this gospel Judas is not a traitor motivated by thirty pieces of silver. He is the only disciple who truly perceives what Jesus actually is. An emissary not from the God of the Old Testament but from the realm of Barbelo, the true and unknowable divine light of the Pleroma itself.

And Jesus chooses him. Deliberately. Knowingly. To complete a mission that only Judas understands. 👁️
