Submarines are thoroughly interesting. They are complex as to be able to navigate underwater and to be able to create a safe environment for the humans aboard... but even more so they are threatening.
Submarines have been used throughout contemporary history as very destructive and effective weapons. A submarine is a formidable opponent in battle, and they physically look extremely intimidating.
