An International Student Who Found My Salon Through TikTok | Damaged Bleached Hair Magic Straight Transformation by Rhea Jeong 🇰🇷

This client found my salon through TikTok while studying in Korea.

At first glance, the hair appeared fragile because it had been bleached before and the strands were naturally fine. However, once I began the consultation and physically examined the hair, a very different picture emerged.

Although the hair had a history of bleaching, the roots were surprisingly strong, resistant, and full of tension. The regrowth area required significantly more softening power than the mid-lengths and ends.

This created a situation where using a single formula from roots to ends could easily lead to uneven processing.

For that reason, I used a Two-Touch chemical strategy.

The stronger root area received a different approach, while the previously bleached sections were protected with a separate formula designed specifically for fragile hair.

But the real challenge appeared during the flat iron stage.

The ends were extremely dry, rigid, and moisture-depleted from previous bleaching and color history. Hair in this condition can become vulnerable when exposed to prolonged heat because dry fiber lacks the flexibility needed to absorb thermal stress.

To reduce that risk, I combined both Dry and Wet Straightening techniques.

A controlled moisture buffer was introduced to the most dehydrated areas, creating a cushioning effect inside the hair fiber. This temporary moisture layer helps distribute heat more evenly, allowing the hair to receive thermal energy without becoming overly stressed.

In simple terms, moisture acts like a protective cushion between heat and damaged hair.

The goal was not simply to make the hair straight.

The goal was to create softness, shine, movement, and long-term stability while respecting the condition of every section of the hair.

Every head of hair tells a different story.

This international student traveled across Seoul after discovering my work online, and I wanted to give back the same level of trust through careful observation, customized chemistry, and patient craftsmanship.
