n many countries, tattoos are seen as fashion, art, or self-expression.
But in Japan, tattoos can still be sensitive.

In this video, I explain why tattoos are still often viewed differently in Japan, especially in onsen, public baths, gyms, pools, and traditional places.

We will talk about the historical background, the connection with yakuza imagery, generational differences, family acceptance, and how tattoos can affect social image in Japan.

This is my honest perspective as a Japanese person.
I am not saying tattoos are bad, but I want to share one real side of Japanese society.

Japan is changing slowly, but the old image has not completely disappeared yet.
