WHAT IS ASMR???
ASMR is characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli.
People who experience ASMR often have "triggers" that give them that "tingly" feeling mentioned above. These "triggers" can induce a calming and relaxing affect. Some common triggers are whispering or talking in a soft spoken manner, tapping, scratching, crinkling and fluid movements just to name a few. Not everyone experiences ASMR but for those that do it can be a very effective and enjoyable way to achieve a more peaceful state.
