Synopsis: Once a rare sight amongst the wealthy, autonomous servants called Mechanized Persons (MPs for short) have become a permanent fixture in daily life for humanity. From grocery store clerks to chefs and even bus drivers, many jobs now have MPs as part of the workforce…albeit with mass-produced models instead of the luxurious ones owned by the more fortunate.
In addition, MPs are allowed posthumous care on par with human cadavers, with an autopsy performed to ensure they will not reactivate when recycled. This human-like care is usually requested by the owner of the MP, with specific instructions regarding their care.
Tonight’s your (listener) first autopsy and you’ll be shadowing your senior Hannah (speaker), owner of a strictly MP morgue called “The Clockwork Heart”.
